. . . Tools & Materials of the Trade . . .
Right. What do I use to create my little doodles? Um, stuff.
Computer Hardware ~ Crappy laptop that only has 128MB of RAM and a damn small LCD screen... 14" I think. Use of Wacom graphics tablet and pen for CGing. Oh yes. And scanner. Can't live without scanner. And yeah, having a digital camera doesn't do any harm to take pictures of stuff you can't scan 'cause its too big...
Computer Software ~ Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 & 7.0 (Thanks Trinity-sama!!!). Corel Photo-Paint 7.0 for some of my older works. Use some other stuff to for cutting up images for layouts... Meow.
Ink ~ For hand coloured artworks, sometimes I will use black, gold and silver ink with brush...
Paintings ~ On the rare occassions that I do a painting, I usually use acrylic paints with retardant and flow medium. I prefer to paint on canvas board because it is already made and stuff (is a lazy person).
Paper ~ For artworks intended for CGing, usually do sketch on bleedproof paper. For graphite pencil artworks, I prefer a medium surfaced paper. For hand coloured artworks, either smooth heavy weight cartridge paper or bristol board.
Pencils ~ HB pencils for sketching. Usually use a pacer 'cause I'm too lazy to keep on sharpening crap all the time. For graphite pencil artworks, I use the Derwent Graphite Pencil range. For coloured pencil artworks, I use Derwent Artist, Watercolor and Metallic pencils.
Pens ~ Use 005 to 04 black felt tip ink pens for inking the outline of my sketches. Also use a range of metellic pens for hand coloured artworks.
